Spring 2025 Covid-19 Booster campaign
This spring, we are offering eligible patients the Covid-19 booster vaccine.
Vaccination clinic
Our vaccination clinics are planned for Saturday 5 April 2025 and Saturday 26 April 2025.
Need help getting to the vaccination clinic?
Shire Connect offers transport to and from the practice. For more information including bus timetables call 01933 22 36 36, or go to their website.
Timing of the spring booster
You should be offered an appointment between April and June, with those at the highest risk being contacted first. You will be invited to have your booster around six months after your last dose, but you can have it as soon as three months after.
If you are turning 75 years old between April and June, you do not need to wait until your birthday - you can attend when you are invited for vaccination.
Booking your appointment
We have invited all eligible patients this week. You will have received booking information either by SMS message or letter if we do not have a mobile number for you.
If possible, please use the online booking link provided to schedule your appointment. If you're unable to book online, please call after 10am.
Spring 2024 booster eligibility
COVID-19 is more serious for older people and those with certain underlying health conditions. For this reason, nationally the spring booster is being offered to:
- People aged 75 years and over
- Residents in care homes for older adults
- People aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system
We will only be vaccinating those aged 18 years and over.
Who cannot take up the offer of a spring booster
Very few eligible people should not have a dose this spring. If you have had a severe reaction to a previous COVID-19 vaccine, please discuss this with us before booking.
Patients in care homes for adults and housebound patients.
We will be contacting patients in care homes and housebound patients to arrange a convenient time for vaccination. Please wait to be contacted by a member of our Patient Services Team.
