Accessibility

Our surgery is accessible to patients using a wheelchair. We also have three parking spaces outside the practice which are reserved for patients displaying a disabled sticker.

The surgery can be used by wheelchair users and there is no need to use lifts or ramps as the entire surgery is at ground level.

For patients with hearing problems, we have a loop system installed. Interpretation and translation services are available for patients who do not speak English. Please let us know in advance if someone needs this service and we will arrange an interpreter.  This could take up to two weeks.

See our disability access policy

Parking

There is patient parking at the front of the practice building. If the front car park is full, please use the additional parking on Glapthorn Road and at the back of Fletton House.

Out of Hours

Enhanced Access

We are part of Rockingham Forest Primary Care Network, a group of local practices who provide extended access appointments between the hours of 6.30pm to 8pm Mondays to Fridays and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays. As enhanced access will be delivered at a PCN level, not every practice has to be open during these hours.

Practice core working hours will remain the same, however, there are appointments available to patients outside of these hours on a book in advance basis. These appointments will be offered across the PCN practices, and you will be advised at the time of booking where your appointment will be.  As the practice may not be physically open during these hours, patients will be unable to have general queries answered or dealt with during enhanced access opening times. Please be aware, your appointment may be a telephone call, video call or a face-to-face appointment but again, you will be advised at the time of booking.

Out of Hours

The ‘Out of Hours 111 urgent care service’ is available for patients who are concerned about their health and feel they need to see a doctor when their surgery is closed.

It is available Mondays to Fridays throughout the night between 6.30pm to 8am, and 24 hours a day on weekends and bank holidays.

When a patient calls 111 they will be asked questions about their condition and given a time slot to attend a local out of hours provider.
